Elles font les sciences (Women in Science) is a project run by La Rotonde in Saint-Étienne. It facilitates meetings and interactive quizzes/debates between secondary school pupils and women working in science in higher education and industry.

At LBVpam, Aurélie Bony, our development engineer, presented her job to three Year 10 classes.

This outreach initiative aims to raise awareness among secondary school pupils about the role of women in science professions, using a dynamic and participatory format.

In partnership with Jean Monnet University in Saint-Etienne, ISTP, Centrale Lyon ENISE and Ecole des Mines, La Rotonde is coordinating the ‘Elles font les sciences’ (Women in Science) project, which will run from 23 February to 3 April 2026 in 27 secondary schools in the Loire region, involving four classes in each school.
