"Every Tuesday in January 2026 at 2.30pm, join the online lectures on specialised metabolites!

Organised by the SNHF scientific council, this series of four webinars invites you to explore plant chemistry, at the crossroads of biology and science.

A not-to-be-missed event for nature and science enthusiasts, biology buffs, students and gardeners keen to gain a better understanding of the secrets of life.

Plants produce an incredible diversity of molecules, the chemical signatures of their living world. These specialised metabolites, often discreet but essential, enable them to defend themselves, communicate, seduce others or adapt to changing environments".

Join Florence Nicolè and Jean-Claude Caissard from LBVpam. They will be talking respectively about ‘Plant alkaloids: chemical mediators of plant-organism interactions’ and 'Why do plants smell?'.

To register and find the full programme, go to the French National Horticultural Society website (SNHF).
