ATER positionTemporary teaching and research associate

Start date: September 2025

Teaching :

The teaching service will consist of CM, TD and TP (lectures, tutorials and practical work). The person recruited will be involved in teaching plant physiology (nutrition and vegetative development) and metabolism in the second year of the bachelor's degree.

The ATER will also be responsible for teaching chemical ecology and/or metabolomics in the Master's degree in life sciences. Most of these courses have already been prepared. The teaching service may be adjusted according to the candidate's profile.

Research:

The ATER will be based in the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnologies applied to aromatic and medicinal plants at Jean Monnet University and will be expected to work in one of the research areas developed by the team, based on the skills acquired through previous experience (see the description of the research areas here: https://lbvpam.univ-st-etienne.fr/en/index.html).

Ideally, candidates will have defended their thesis in the field of secondary plant metabolism and plant biotechnology. Skills in molecular biology/biochemistry or metabolomics/transcriptomics would be appreciated.
