Lab Presentation
BVpam is part of two enterties: Jean Monnet University (Biology and biochemistry Department) and CNRS (Ecology and Environment Department).
We are located on the university site, Metare.
We currently have 2 Full Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 4 Assistant Professors, 1 Research Engineer, 1 Development Engineer, 2 Technicians, and several Post-Docs, PhD, and Master Students.
We supervise the Master Sciences de la Vie ici. BVpam is also involved in several national networks on specialized metabolism, chemical ecology, and perfumes.

Research topics
BVpam lab specializes in the study of the diversity and biosynthesis of volatile compounds in aromatic plants.
Our research aims to better understand the mechanisms of production, secretion and the roles of volatile compounds in aromatic plants. Among these volatile compounds, we are particular interested in terpenoids.
Our model plants belong to the genus Rosa, Lavandula, Petunia and Pelargonium, but we also work with Frullania, Salvia, Arabidopsis, or Cypripedium and many more.
